Glue Bound Booklet Label

Expanded Content Labels

6 Page-Glue Bound Booklet Label

The 6 page glue bound booklet label (ECL) is a highly versatile label solution that is widely used in both the RX and OTC markets. Designed to provide the same benefits of a pressure sensitive label, including shelf appeal and ease of use, the ECL booklet also delivers essential information for use and instructions for use that are mandated by regulatory authorities.

One of the key advantages of the ECL booklet is its flexibility in terms of design and application. The label can be designed to be resealable, allowing for repeated access to the information contained within, or removable, allowing for easy separation from the packaging. Additionally, the ECL booklet can be customized to fit a wide variety of containers, including bottles, cartons, vials, ampules, and syringes, making it an ideal solution for virtually any packaging need.

Extended Content Label Overview

Booklet labels, also known as expanded content labels or booklet-style labels, are multi-panel labels that provide additional space for text and graphics. They are used when the amount of information required on a label exceeds the available surface area of a traditional label.

Booklet labels consist of a base label and one or more additional layers that can be opened like a booklet or folded like an accordion. Each layer can contain additional information about the product, such as instructions for use, warnings, or ingredients.

Booklet labels are commonly used in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, where regulatory requirements often mandate the inclusion of extensive information on product labels. They are also used in the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries, where manufacturers may wish to include additional product information or promotional messaging.

Booklet labels can be printed in a variety of shapes and sizes, and can be customized to include brand-specific graphics and messaging. They can also include a range of security features, such as tamper-evident seals and holographic foils, to help prevent counterfeiting and ensure product authenticity.

Expanded Content Label Booklets were developed to solve the labeling concerns in the packaging industry around the ability to display regulated copy, with standard environmental factors, lower packaging labor cost, reduce packaging waste, reduce inventory, and eliminate the chances of a mismatching label and leaflet. As ECL’s developed and became more functional their use cases increased to include multilingual, OTC applications, smaller containers, delivering coupons and promotional items just to name a few.
